Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College came together to show racism the red card to launch the start of Black History Month.
Students and colleagues wore red as a symbol of the college’s anti-racist stance.
Throughout this month we will be celebrating achievements and contributions of black people throughout history, and a specialist tutorial programme has been put together to educate students on anti-racism.
Other celebrations include music by black artists picked by the Diversitas committee and traditional African and Caribbean food options in the canteen.
