The Sir John Deane’s community has come together to support families across mid Cheshire this festive season.
Thousands of items have been donated as part of the College’s Christmas appeal, on behalf of the Salvation Army and Mid Cheshire Foodbank.
The items, which include gifts for teenagers, who are an often a forgotten group, Christmas hampers and essential food items have been generously donated by students, their families, teachers and support colleagues.
Assistant Principal, Stephanie Dean, said: “We are completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of our students and colleagues and cannot thank everyone enough for their support.
“We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to help others. It has been a difficult year for all of us in many different ways, so when the College comes together in this way it shows the strength of our community.”
The appeal was launched alongside the College’s GREAT DREAM initiative – which celebrates 10 keys to happier living. The first on the list is Giving and the joy we receive from doing things for others. To find our more about GREAT DREAM, please visit the Action for Happiness website.
