Sir John Deane’s swimmers continue to go from strength to strength after the boys team put in an impressive performance at the English Schools Swimming Association Championships on Saturday.
Swimmers, Henry Oliver, Ethan Jones, Will Murray and Jay Cushen, competed against 127 schools across all regions, finishing 7th in the medley and 14th in the freestyle at the London Olympic Aquatics Centre.
Jenny Thorp, head of PE at Sir John Deane’s said: “The boys should be hugely proud of their achievement, not only were they up against some really strong competition, including the likes of Harrow, they were the only team in the top ten representing the North of England.”
