Students bought the magic of Christmas to the stage for the annual Spirit of Christmas concert during the last week of term.
The traditional Christmas concert included jubilant performances from the Sir John Deane’s concert band, chamber choir and jazz, string, wind and brass ensembles.
The audience was treated to a number of Christmas classics, including ‘Hark the Herald’ and ‘O Come ’ as well as some well-known favourites including ‘Sleigh Ride’ and ‘The Fairytale of New York’.
There was also a special suite of James Bond songs and a preview from the College’s upcoming musical production, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’.
Rebeccah Homer, Head of Music and Performing Arts, said: “The Spirit of Christmas concert is a highlight in the college calendar and is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the musical talents of our students, from within the Performing Arts department and across the College.
“Special congratulations must go to the student leaders of our string, brass, wind and jazz ensembles, for their hard work in selecting and rehearsing repertoire with their peers.”
